Building Energy and Reporting Ordinance (second) is adopted by the City Council.

The ordinance, requires some 2,200 large buildings (over 35,000 square feet) to reduce emissions in half by 2040 and completely by 2050. Acting mayor Kim Janey is expected to sign the ordinance, which is known as Berdo 2.0, after the original ordinance that required large buildings to begin reporting their energy and water use in 2013.
